Benchmarking Multiconfiguration Dirac–Hartree–Fock Calculations for Astrophysics: Si-like Ions from Cr xi to Zn xvii

Abstract The multiconfiguration Dirac–Hartree–Fock (MCDHF) and relativistic configuration interaction methods are used to provide excitation energies, lifetimes, radiative transition data for the 604 (699, 702, 704, 699) lowest levels of 3 s 2 p , d 4 f 5 configurations in Cr xi (Mn xii Fe xiii Co xiv Ni xv Cu xvi Zn xvii ). Previous line identifications EUV X-ray wavelength ranges reviewed by comprehensively comparing MCDHF theoretical results with available experimental data. Many recent lines confirmed, several new these two ions proposed. A consistent atomic set spectroscopic accuracy is provided hundreds Si-like iron-group elements astrophysical interest, which values scarce. uncertainty estimation method suggested Kramida, applied comparison length velocity strength values, ranking correlation latter gauge dependency patterns strengths investigated.
